'Passes and parking,' Editorial, Sept. 3

Your editorial left out one important feature of the MetroPass: the fact that you can claim the cost of the pass against your year-end taxes.

Now, think, why did the TTC decide to wait until the end of the year to stop the parking privilege? You don't think it was to allow the pass parkers a full year of tax deductions do you?

Right now, the poor sucker that pays with coin pays it with no future tax deductions. The MetroPass free parking should have been abolished a long time ago.
