The Etobicoke Stingers Petite B team won the Southern Ontario Ringette Championship beating out Cambridge, Caledonia and Mississauga in the championship game.

The final score of the game was 4-3 in overtime. It was held on April 6 at Centennial arena in Cambridge.

The team's season record was 33 wins, two ties and one loss.

"I had a great group of kids," said coach Fergus Byrne. "They were very coachable and always did what they were asked without questioning it."

The 13-member team had nine first year players and four second year players who helped lead the team to victory.

The team also won gold medals at Kitchener and Hamilton tournaments held earlier this season.
